Our Story & Process

At Hill, we believe the most meaningful objects are those that invite the past. Every piece is designed and handmade by our founding artist, who draws inspiration from classic forms, botanicals, and the romance of everyday life, aiming to create pieces to be treasured over time. The work is rooted in restraint and balance—thoughtful in decision and detail.

Every piece of dinnerware begins as a hand-drawn sketch and is produced in small batches. Working exclusively with porcelain, pieces are then thrown on the wheel. Before bisque firing, the details are handbuilt, embossed, or debossed. Glaze firing, the final step, prepares pieces for daily use in both strength and design.

In a world of mass production, Hill exists as a deliberate alternative. Our dinnerware is made for those who value subtlety and craftsmanship. Designed to move seamlessly between everyday and meaningful gatherings, each piece is an invitation to romanticize the table, and by extension, the life lived around it.

Driven by Design

With a graduate degree from Pratt Institute in Interior Design, and as the founder of Hill, I bring a deep sensitivity to form, proportion, and details of every object I create. My designs should feel both romantic and contemporary—feminine without excess, refinement without emptiness. Details matter, not as decoration, but as a way of giving objects presence and history. And every piece should feel personal, considered, and enduring.
